Do you offer in-home or online tutoring?

No, all our tutoring sessions take place in-person at our literacy center in Oceanside, located at 2181 El Camino Real, Suites 302-303, Oceanside, CA. 92054.

(Please note, our morning homeschool class takes place in our homeschool classroom in Oceanside.)

What is the minimum term of enrollment?

Most of our tutoring services require a minimum commitment of one semester enrollment, or a minimum of three months.  This is to measure significant improvements in progress monitoring data.  Our homeschool enrichment class is typically a commitment of an academic school year.  Our summer programs are typically three-week classes.

What teaching approach do you use?

We use structured literacy, which is the most effective way to teach reading and spelling, especially for those who are struggling or are diagnosed with dyslexia. Orton-Gillingham reading intervention follows the science of reading and structured literacy principals, which are evidence-based and proven effective by research.  The International Dyslexia Association and The Reading League advocate for evidence-based reading instruction, like what Reading Reach provides, because it produces successful results.

Do you diagnose dyslexia?

Our specialist can identify dyslexia characteristics and discern if dyslexia markers are present, as well as determine if your child is at-risk for reading disabilities. We do not give an official dyslexia diagnosis, as this needs to be done by a psychologist through formal psychoeducational testing.

Reading Reach's literacy assessments are designed to pinpoint literacy needs in order to create an individualized plan for the tutor to implement. Our lessons are tailored to each child's specific needs, based on data from the initial assessment and consistent progress monitoring.

What are the rates of your services?

Our services have a monthly price range of $255-$775 per month, depending on the specific service and frequency of lessons/classes.

Do you accept charter funds?

Yes, as long as you have enough third-party funding to commit to the entire term of enrollment (typically the semester, or approx. four months).

We are approved vendors with the following charter schools: Pacific Coast Academy, SoCal Scholars Academy, Suncoast Prep Academy, Excel Academy Charter School, Sage Oak Charter School, Compass Charter School, Sparrow Academy, and Elite Academic Academy.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we have a business license and insurance.

How long are the private lessons? How often do students attend?

One-on-one lessons are 45 minutes long.

Students typically attend twice per week for Orton-Gillingham intervention, or once per week for structured literacy tutoring.

How long does my child need to attend tutoring?

Structured Literacy tutoring and Orton-Gillingham reading intervention are long-term commitments that are highly beneficial.  Each child learns differently, so the length of enrollment varies.  Most children are typically enrolled for 12-24 months, and see tremendous growth during this time.
