Reading Teacher-
part time
Must be available in-person 2-3 afternoons per week from 3:30pm-6:30pm. (or 2:30-6:30pm), in Oceanside, CA.
Positions available: 2
1) Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, 3:30pm-6:30pm. (or 2:30-6:30pm)
2) Tuesdays, Thursdays, 3:30pm-6:30pm. (or 2:30-6:30pm)
Reading Teacher Position – Reading Reach Literacy Center – Oceanside, CA
Reading Reach Literacy Center is seeking qualified and dedicated Reading Teachers to provide individualized, structured literacy instruction to students in grades K–8. The ideal candidates will have experience supporting students with dyslexia and other reading challenges and will be committed to fostering academic growth and confidence in struggling readers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Deliver one-on-one reading and spelling instruction using structured literacy methods,
-Implement Orton-Gillingham based strategies and multisensory techniques,
-Assess student progress and maintain accurate instructional records,
-Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress,
-Prepare lesson plans and materials tailored to individual student needs using specified curriculum & materials,
-Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
-Master's degree preferred,
-Prior experience working with students who have reading difficulties or dyslexia strongly preferred.
-Training in Orton-Gillingham, IMSE, Wilson, or comparable structured literacy approaches desirable.
-Dependable, professional, and committed to student success.
-Livescan fingerprints required for employment.
-In-house structured literacy training required (paid).
Compensation and Schedule:
Part-time position (2-3 afternoons per week, Monday/Wednesday/Friday 3:30pm-6:30pm, OR Tuesday/Thursday 3:30pm-6:30pm.)
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience, starting at $30.00+/hour
Benefits available after 90 days.

Substitute Tutor
Substitute tutors must be available in the afternoons from approx. 3:30pm-6:30pm, on an occasional basis, as needed.
Substitute tutors will work with students in one-on-one and/or small-group settings at our literacy center in Oceanside, when a lead tutor is unavailable.
Qualifications:
- Teaching Credential and/or
- Structured literacy/Orton-Gillingham training
This position requires live scan fingerprints and in-house training (paid).
Pay range: $28 per hour
