Reading Rally!
Three-week Orton-Gillingham reading and spelling class for Grades 1-5
Two sessions scheduled (three weeks each session).
Enroll in one or both sessions (3-6 weeks total):
SESSION A-
Mon-Thurs for 3 weeks | July 8-25, 2024, 9am-12pm |
$399 class fee + $29 material fee |
This class session is located at 506 S. Nevada St. Oceanside CA, 92054.
SESSION B -
Mon-Thurs for 3 weeks | July 29-August 15, 2024, 8:30am-11:30am | $399 class fee + $29 material fee |
This class session is located in our home microschool classroom in the Jeffries Ranch area of Oceanside (92057).
CLASS DESCRIPTION: In each reading clinic session, students will participate in three weeks of intensive Orton-Gillingham literacy instruction, focusing on reading (decoding) and spelling (encoding). A structured literacy approach is the most effective approach for students experiencing difficulties with reading. Priority for enrollment in this summer program is given to students with Dyslexia/SLD indicators.
We will be both indoors and outdoors during this summer program. Maximum of 10 students per session- reserve your space now!
Basic supplies will be provided, however students may wish to bring their own backpack containing a pencil, eraser, scissors, glue stick, and crayons. Bring a small snack and water bottle labeled with child's name.
Summer Reading Rally Sample Schedule:
8:55am-9:00am Drop-off
9:00am-10:15am - Orton-Gillingham reading instruction and phonological awareness activities
10:15-10:35 - break for snack/recess
10:35-11:50 - Orton-Gillingham reading and spelling instruction
11:50-12:00 Daily Review
12:00 Pick-up
You are welcome to schedule a tour at either location prior to registering your child.
Letter Littles -
Ages 4-6 (TK-K)
One session scheduled ($250):

Students will be participating in outdoor literacy activities at Spring Creek Park in the Jeffries Ranch area (92057). Maximum of 7 students - reserve your space now! Note: The park does not have a restroom facility, so restroom breaks will take place at our director's home microschool classroom within walking distance of the park. You are welcome to schedule a tour prior to registering your child.
Please bring a small snack and water bottle labeled with child's name.
Letter Learners Camp Sample Schedule:
8:25am-8:30am - Student drop-off (end of Mustang Court at the park entrance)
8:30am-9:00am Large Group Circle time
9:00am-10:00am - Rotate group games A and B
10:00am-10:20am Break for restroom (walk to microschool classroom and back)
10:20am - 10:45am - park playground free-play and snack time
10:45am-11:15am - Structured Literacy Center Rotations
11:15am-11:30am - Clean-up and Daily Review
11:25am-11:30am - Student pick-up at Spring Creek Park (entrance at the end of Mustang Court)
Phonics and Fluency Camp - (for incoming 1st-3rd graders)
